Happy Belated Valentine's Day

We celebrated Valentine's Day over a few days stretching out the festivities. On Saturday we swapped babysitting so we could go to a couple's party. Pictures above from their photobooth. Our hostess, Chelsea made everyone take ten photos in rapid succession. Yikes. But with a little planning, and the funniest husband ever, we got some of the best shots. The party had a yummy pasta dinner and then we played the newly wed game. Steve and I tied for first with two other couples.

On Monday we had a nice steak dinner at home complete with cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries and spent the evening together sans Henry playing games and hanging out. Tuesday we babysat for our swap and Henry got a sweet Valentine's Day hug and kiss from Maya. She instigated but he didn't run away. They spent the evening chasing each other while Steve and I watched Back to the Future.

We don't really do a ton for Valentine's Day since our anniversary is next week. We'd rather do one mega date instead of two mediocre ones, you know?
