Steve and I have befriended three families who agreed to do a babysitting coop thing. In fact, it wasn't even my idea although it is brilliant. We take turns watching each other's kids so we can go on real dates. So you trade one evening of watching 6 kids aged 4 and under for 3 dates.Friday night we went out and it was so nice not having Henry to lug around with us. (Just kidding we love him lots.) We ate calzones and sandwiches at Johnny's Pizza which was very yummy. And then we saw Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. The effects were really cool and I was laughing out loud for the bulk of the film. Also surprising, Kieran Culkin as the unexpectedly funny and brilliant gay roommate. Whoever thought sharing a bed with one of the Culkin's could look so appealing? And if you owned a nintendo in the 1980's you'll appreciate most of the humor.
The best part? Just being alone with Steve.
The second best part? Walking out of the theater at 9:30 and feeling an ever so slight chill in the air. Bring on Fall, pretty please...
